SW
SWIS
Special Education Program Evaluation & Support
Professional Development · Coaching · ExcelCore

SWIS provides special education program evaluation and support for schools and districts across three service tiers. From professional development to embedded coaching to a fully-supported ExcelCore room within a school, SWIS meets schools where they are — and builds capacity at every level.

Three Service Tiers
  • Tier 1 — Professional Development: Evidence-based PD for special education teachers, paraprofessionals, and school leadership on ABA principles, data collection, and best practice in SPED programming
  • Tier 2 — PD + Coaching: Professional development paired with ongoing BCBA coaching — staff learn best practice and receive real-time support implementing it in their classrooms
  • Tier 3 — ExcelCore Room: A fully supported ExcelLearning-model classroom embedded within a host school — providing intensive, ABA-informed programming with SOAR curriculum and data systems for students who need a higher level of structure within their school building
SWIS + ExcelPrep + ExcelLearning SWIS ExcelCore rooms use the SOAR curriculum and data books — the same system as ExcelPrep and ExcelLearning. Students in a SWIS ExcelCore room may access ExcelLearning clinical services, and ExcelPrep learners may transition into a SWIS model as they develop skills for a less restrictive environment.
